As a practicing attorney, I have to divide my time between WOLI and my law practice. At one time, I actually put aside my practice and devoted myself full-time to developing WOLI. There were very few online schools in those days; WOLI was a true pioneer in online learning. As time went by and the school became more established, I returned to my law practice, which focuses on bankrutpcy law. With the economy in the tank for the past year, the bankruptcy practice has exploded and I am forced to spend more and more time working on my cases. So, now I am extremely busy with both our beloved school and my law practice. The lesson of all this, for you the WOLI student, is that if you develop a strong background in your field of studies, whether law, or medical billing or coding or any other field, you will be prepared for the different opportunities that arise as a result of economic shifts, social changes, and new technologies. As a certified professional, you can rise above the fray and be prepared to take on new challenges. Downturns can be times of opportunity for the professional. Your certification is a valuable asset; earn it and cherish it, for it will lead to opportunity and exceptionalism.

Dear WOLI Students: The Discussion Boards are the heart and soul of the WOLI experience. By participating on the Discussion Boards, you can interact with your professors and fellow students to a much greater extent than is possible in a traditional "bricks and mortar" school. I start my day with a cup of coffee and the discussion boards. It fits my schedule best; where do discussion boards fit in your schedule? In the morning? AT night after the kids are in bed? During your lunch break at work? WOLI is open 24/7, so take full advantage. OK, time for my morning coffee!
